Miami has a unique charm that shines through the MiMo District and its vintage 70’s motels along Biscayne Blvd. This area is one of the city’s hidden gems, where pastel facades, neon signs, and retro architecture tell stories of old Miami while blending seamlessly with today’s urban energy — the perfect setting for lifestyle and street photography.

This time, Candela teamed up with Colombian model Camila Bedoya for a walk through Biscayne Blvd, making the street itself part of the narrative. They stopped at one of the avenue’s most iconic motels, a backdrop that embodies Miami’s mid-century style and highlights the raw authenticity that defines lifestyle and street photography.

Shooting with his Canon R5 and an on-camera flash, Mauricio Candela created an urban style look that feels raw, spontaneous, and cinematic. His approach is all about keeping it real—letting light, color, and angles dominate naturally, while searching for those fleeting moments that define his documentary style.
